Scenes from my aunt's house in the UK this summer. None of the cats are hers. I think their names she has given them speak for themselves, Ginger, Paleface, Tabby and Longshanks. There is a fifth regular visitor, Fluff, but she is very shy so no pictures or petting. Paleface is thought to be son of Ginger. Ginger is said not like men. Ten minutes after I met her, she was purring up a storm and leaving lots of hair all over my legs. My wife calls her my other redhead. Tabby is giving me the stink eye for spotting her engaged in cat maneuvers on the neighbor's shed. She doesn't want to be petted. You cannot tell from the picture, but Longshanks has immensely long legs. If he was any bigger he could run the Kentucky Derby. He is quite friendly when he knows food is coming. Yes, I was cat staff this summer.

Bronco (tan & white) is the surviving half of a bonded pair of males I adopted 4 years ago. I lost the older one, Kevin at the end of July and Bronco has been morning him ever since.
Fast forward to last Sunday (11-22) and some friends brought me a new little guy (13-14 weeks old) who has been named Linus. He is a ball of energy, not afraid or timid in the least and most importantly, he is a snuggler. Bronco is slowly warming up to Linus and I hope Linus brings Bronco out of his funk.
It's been 30+ years since I dealt with a kitten as my last 6 adoptions have been adult cats that needed a new home. My arms and legs are beginning to look like pin cushions from being climbed. :)

This is Riley, 9 years old. my calico. And Cleopatra, she looks like a holsteen cow, and eats like one too. It is true, dogs have masters, and cats have servents. I often look into their eyes, and wonder what the heck they are thinking.
