Here is my take on the M&P. It was customized for steel plate comps. Always looking for improvements, so feel free to comment.
Besides the obvious changes, it has a rise Armament 3.5# drop in trigger and the bolt has been polished to mirror finish.
I went with the muzzle break/shroud combo from kineti-tech its aluminum so not a crazy weight difference. Was looking to change the whole handguard but would like to do more research about it first.
Anyone has seen / done this handguard

Here are the details: Smith & Wesson Corp. MP 15-22, Magpul Industries Corp. Flip on sights and accessories. Tacticool22 ambidextrous charging handle, FAB Defense minimalist stock. Sightmark reflex green dot sight. Leapers/UTG, Inc. Pistol grip. RISE Armament drop in trigger @ 3.5#, NDZ Performance magazine base. Plus plenty of gunsmith love in the internals.

Sight

Its a Sightmark Ultra Shot Pro Spec. It came as a set with a 3x flip side magnification scope. But I don't use the scope. I really like it, great battery life and super bright on daytime. I used to have a great super economical and reliable one but I get faster target acquisition with the reflex one. Look at picture of older sight. Its some of brand from amazon for less than $40.

Looks like a sightmark, had one on mine and could make sticks dance. I liked mine.

Question about the Shroud/Brake

From the photos it looks like you are using the M-LOK handguard that comes with the newer 1522. Did installation of the shroud & brake combo require any change to the gun other than removing the original brake it comes with? Is the end plate on the muzzle end of the handguard left in place or must it be removed or modified?

Brake / Shroud

No modification at all! Besides removing / unscrewing the bird cage flash hider.

I have a Colt LE 6940, but I did not buy it for fun. Looks as if you have a nice rifle there.
