Does anybody know the diameter of the front sight fiber optic rod on the Victory? I have a few spares, but they are green, and I wanted to try red, but I can't remember what size they are. I used the red to make a sight for my Neos.

They are .070. I got a response back from S&W! In two days!

But my sight looks much smaller, and when a few guys on another measure them they got .060.

I asked S&W to recheck, and they said they measured 3 rods, .070, .069, .070.

I think I would like red in the front now that you mentioned it.. would be easier to pick up quick. did you replace yours yet. If so what size worked, and how do you like it over the green ? thanks for any input

Mine measures .059 in the middle. At the end, where it has been heat flared to hold it in place, it's closer to the dimension they gave you. Dave

I used the .060 rod from Dawson Precision. $4.50, free shipping. Worked fine. The rod is enough to make about 4 sights.

The rear uses .040, but I had a tough time getting that bend in.
Too bad it's not like the Dawson sight, which uses two straight rods. I got the .040 rods on Ebay. for $6, for 4 rods. You pick the colors.

I now have all red. It seems to work for me. The rear sights don't bleed or double up with my lenses, and I pick up the front sight fast. I may go back to green in the front sight, because I kind of like the contrast. Or maybe orange. :-) I have way too much time on my hands.
