A lot of long guns with what to me seemed high prices. Same with handguns, a very good condition 10-6 @ $350 for example. Mostly ended up buying ammo and leather. One guy had a pair of Galco JAK212 holsters. I have no idea what they fit but a $5 for the pair I took them both and the $7 S&W brand J frame snubbie holster as well.

Looking at a table with odds and ends of ammo on it I found 4 boxes of Remington 380 for $65, not too bad at todays prices. As I was walking away the guy asks: You don't have any use for odd 16ga ammo do you? Occasionally, I replied. He handed me an old red and gold box of Winchester Super X, 16ga #4 Buck, with 23 shells still in it. I think he was close to being right when he said the empty box would be worth close to his $5 asking price. As my large pest control solution is an old Hunter Arms 16ga SXS I could not pass it up.

But the find I was most happy with was a very nice Stanley #700 corner vice for $4. These have masonite padded jaws and are designed for holding finished material both vertical or horizontal. It will mount on my cleaning/repair bench.

I also found a nice old H&R 732, 4" with adjustable rear site. Price was only $115. Not a J Frame but I do enjoy 4" 32's.

Nothing exotic to report but I had fun, stayed in budget and found a few useful items. What more can you ask?

I think WalnutRed is being a little sarcastic, and referring to a gun show by the flea market moniker.

Sounds like a pretty good haul, all in all. A VG M10-6 is probably worth $350.

No, this is a flea market, not a gun show. It is held at the Delaware County Fairground every Sunday morning from April through October. I set up there about 4 times a year because I'm cleaning out my garage. They only charge $10 to set up so it's better than a yard sale to get rid of unwanted merchandise. Runs from 6:30AM until noon, so you don't kill a whole day setting up. You'll find everything from used VHS tapes to motorcycles.

IF your coming to Ohio for a flea market/gun show come Labor Day weekend. On Saturday hit Swappers Day in Johnstown and on Sunday hit the Kenton Coon Trials in Kenton.

We did the same thing early this AM. Went to an antique show down the road right after breakfast. Nothing special, but my wife turned over every Rookwood vase and piece of pottery that looked promising. Walking out of one booth, some moron had a camera stuck in my face for a minute, but he panned away. Fine with me. I figured America's most wanted would get swamped with calls.

Just a little while ago my mother sent my wife an email. Said she saw us on the CBS evening news (clearly a commie station with Katie Curic.) Oh well, now Y'all know what we look like!

We didn't buy anything, but it wasn't because I was too cheap. Momma was the cheap one. She got what she wanted out of the early trip - breakfast!

Don't know about the rest of the US or MI, but you never see firearms at a "flea market" around here!

Guys I know carry their j-frame to church. Just remember that the b.g.'s love to hit mosques, and churches will do just as well. Lots of unarmed folks.
Sonny

They have a few flea markets that sit on 20 ackers and on a nice day will be full. The buildings cover 6 to 8 ackers. It has heat and AC included. Buy anything if you are early enought. There are three of these that I know of. If you go to OGCA one is the next exit down.

Here it's surprising if you don't see a few firearms at a flea market, though I've heard a few promoters ban them. As long as you check the buyers driver license to verify age and state of residence your not breaking any laws, yet.

I'd never think of carrying one of my J-frames to church Sonny. All of mine are 4" which I find hard to conceal reliably. I either carry a Keltec P32 in the summer of P11 in the winter.
