Anybody else watching the Olympic trials?
Peacock is airing most of them ... swimming, diving, track & field, etc. A lot of young talent getting it on to make Team USA. People from all over the country letting it all hang out.

I read about it the papers.

I've been to Olympic Trials in swimming, twice. Very exciting for me because my son was swimming. He didn't come anywhere close to making the US Olympic Team either time, but his mom and I were just immensely proud that he was there at all.

Haven't been watching, but have been rooting for local boy, Ryan Crouser. Current world record holder in the shot put, he is trying to make it 3 straight gold medals. And he's doing it with a sore elbow and a healing torn pectoral muscle. Go, Big Red!

100m gals final was exciting. That gal Richardson sure can run ... damn.

Awesome! And, yes, she can absolutely fly. I hope she takes a few golds home.

I watched the swimming, track and field, and the women's diving. The divers amaze me with what they can do the short time they are in the air. They show an incredible amount of grace and coordination, and the swimsuits they wear permit them to show an incredible amount of a.., er, athleticism.
Yeah, athleticism, that's the ticket.

Having to do some of those more difficult dives .. getting enough height then timing everything just right ... straighten yourself out vertical and hope the water is there when you grab for it. ... and if you have to synchronize with a partner ... I can't even imagine. They are just amazing.

I watched a guy toss that little bitty spear, 80 plus to take 1st place
and the track team looks very fast this year.

However there is one long distance swimmer that looks unbeatable !!
The race was for second place for two swimmers that were out of the camera , picture.
