Tell me about aftermarket pistol grips? :)

I noticed that the factory grip has the little divot for the rear takedown pin spring/detent? Do I have to add a divot to any new pistol grip I pick up? Thanks in advance!

I put on the Hogue AR15 grip.... No issues.

The dimple is not necessary. What you may find however is that the spring is a bit long, and hard to get back without it bending and pinching if there is no dimple to set the spring. I put a Magpul grip on (no dimple) and clipped that spring 1/4 inch shorter before re-inserting it. That also relieved some of the extreme tension on the safety throw while retaining very positive "safe" and "fire" engagement.
