Viewing "Territory" on Netflex which is a series concerning a large Cattle Station in Australia. I find it confusing tring to determine who is related to who.
However there are firearms used in the series. So far a Marlin Lever Action, Winchester Lever Action, Sig Pistol, S&W Pistol, and a SMLE #4.
I was under the impression that firearms were illegal in Australia ?

Started watching, loved the Aussie hats and locations. Quit during the 3rd episode, bad writing and stupid characters..

Saw a preview for this over the weekend. We like Anna Torv and Robert Taylor from other stuff, but it looks like just a Yellowstone re-tread with a down under accent.

Watching the preview, my first thought was "none of those guns are legal there..." LOL

Firearms are not illegal in Australia, but their laws are quite restrictive, especially since a mass school shooting in the mid-90's. Firearms ownership is a privilege; not an inherent right as guanteed by the 2nd Amendment in the US constitution. I think ammo sales are also restricted.

The only place I’ve been in Australia is Darwin, Northern Territory. I loved it.

I got pulled over for DUI there. I wasn’t drunk, I just couldn’t adapt to driving from the passenger side of my rental. The cop was nice, and once he knew I was in the Air Force and not the Navy (who he blamed for bringing AIDS to Oz) he invited me to his house for BBQ.

I have never seen so many good looking girls in one place in my life.

The only downer was a taxi driver who wanted to punch me out for offering him a tip.

I like the series so far. I never liked Longmire, but Jamie Dornan from Patriot is there, so I’ll stick around for him.

I would think a huge operation like their cattle station could get any guns they want.
