Testing 357mag 142gr FMJ TC (S&W 66 21/2in ) at 15yds
Day one I have some real cool piercing 142gr FMJ TC (brass jacketed) 357 mag Ammo and would like to do more testing.
I fired a round into a Dry phone book 1.4 thick and it passed thur it and the 4 inches of wood with out wading and a watermelon clean hole one side and a hole a little bigger the half dallor on the other.
Day two I did the phone book wet and went right thru the book thru 4x4 no expansion . I been looking around the yard for a steel plate to shoot all I found is a 1960's hardened steel drag blade 3/8 thick and shot it, the bullet splattered. I'll have to find a plate of 1/2in soft steel. I'll all so have more phone books by the end of the week now that sounds like I'm going to have some fun.
What should I do for next test? any one have I piece of a bullet proof vest I can try it on?
