Yeah, I'm a Cubs fan, so I am definitely pulling for the Rangers, and they let this go big time. It may be over if Carpenter pitches tomorrow....

I don't know that I would call it a choke. That guy in right field misjudged the flight or found himself looking into the lights and missed what I thought was going to be the game winning catch. Other than that it was a good game of baseball with tenacious hitting on both sides.

That's what I told the wife. Sure did look like he lost it in the lights.

I gotta say I was happy with the outcome. My poor wife was about to go nuts with all the ups and downs in that game. The hero, David Freese, is a local boy, which made it even better.

me too .......

a giants fan ...... for over 40 years !

but i have to say i like the cards and st louis is a great town

will pull for the national league so go cards !

As a long time Rangers fan, I'm just excited that we are playing in October. You have to tip your hat to the Cards, would not quit. Can't wait for todays game, win or lose this has been a great deal of fun.

As a Tigers fan I too have no dog in this fight, but my son sent the following to his Rangers fan cousin...... "The Rangers are channeling the 86' BoSox"

Another Cubbie fan here -
BUT
My best friend was from St. Louis, and since he can't cheer for his team anymore I will. (Unless they're playing the Cubs, of course :) )

R.I.P Bob.................

Actually I think we have two pretty darn good baseball teams playing, wish the rangers could have taken it in six but you gotta give the cards credit they don't quit.

Ranger fan here. WOW what a game that was and what a come back. Of course I wish it had went the other way. I just wonder what will happen tonight. Rumor has it the Cruz and Napoli are hurt and might not play. GO RANGERS

I could NOT believe Napoli was able to get up after that and play the rest of the game. That is a ballplayer.

Go Cards!

I watched last nights extra innings game and while i'm not into either teams, I picked Texas, too. But I have to say, that was one of the best games I've seen seen! What a roller coaster ride!

Best game in memory

Howdy,
What an emotional roller coaster ride? Back and forth to the bottom of the 11th.
Had the game gone the other way I would have still had to get up feeling lucky to have seen it.
Money game tonight. I hope both teams show up healthy.
Thanks
Mike

I don't even like baseball and forgot that the Series was being played, but was flipping through the channels after watching an 11:00 program I like, and stopped at the Fox channel and caught the last 3 innings. That was really entertaining, especially the suspense between pitches. It was definitely worth the loss of sleep to stay up and watch.

I don't care if it's tiddlywinks, when it's one game winner take all, it's exciting. Go Rangers!

Interesting to see a couple relatively unknowns like Napoli and Freese break out on the big stage. The way Napoli's ankle bent at 2nd base I figured he'd leave by stretcher and then he picks a guy off 3rd. Tough kid. Johnny Bench never did it better.

i thought it looked like he was caught off guard and got a late start on running it down...and then made a very lax play on the ball...missed it by 2 feet.....

I used to play some pretty highly competitive RF and I know I'd have made that catch. Still, 4 1/2 hrs of a great game. Some iffy defense, but they are human. One of the things that I can't fathom is all the facial hair, especially beards. I don't think there has ever been a sport as bearded as baseball is now. Might this be one way of the players' doing what they want? Makes me appreciate the NYY even more.
