As my eyes have aged, I find myself liking (almost needing) a brighter sight picture on my range guns. Consequently, I've been regularly reaching past my SW1911 Pro 9mm to get to my Springfield Range officer for it's fiber optic sights. It's happened enough times that I finally decided to upgrade the sights on the 1911 pro. I usually do my own sight upgrades, and have used Dawson products before but decided to splurge the extra $50 and have Dawson do the install this time around. This gun deserves the best and I wanted it perfect. ( See the ageing eyes comment above) Just wanted to say they did a beautiful job in 1/2 the time expected. I'm now in love with this gun again! It's smoother than the SA RO and shoots tiny groups with the new sights. Anyone with the same pistol that might be considering a sight upgrade should give them a try.

I am a HUGE Dawson fan. Got his FO front sights on S&W, Glocks, HKs, Berettas. They have never let me down.

Dawson sights come with the red FO installed, but can easily be changed to green in minutes. Since I prefer green, I've changed out all my Dawsons accordingly. They even provide a video to show the best method.
