My M&P was collecting dust in the safe. The trigger pull was ridiculously heavy at 8 lbs 6.5 oz. That was a five trigger pull average with my Lyman digital gauge. Ya my accuracy seemed to suffer from it too. I thought well at this point I'd rather shoot my Glocks. I saw Apex was running a $20 off special on the Flat FSS trigger kit. It was spend a little more money on the M&P or it could continue to be one of my least favorite handguns and see little action. Let me say after installing the kit, I'm super happy with the trigger now. My five trigger pull average with the same gauge is now 3 lbs 9.8 oz. I installed the silver spring rather than the green trigger return spring. To anyone wondering if Apex Tactical flat FSS trigger kit is worth it, for me personally I'd say YES.

My MP9C with the Apex breaks at 3.5lbs after a 1/16 take up
My Ruger Sr1911 breaks at 4.5lbs after a 1/16 take up

So my MP9C is just like a 1911 so much so I had a TS installed

Under 4 lb does seem awfully light for self defense type of weapon does it not? Not saying it's right or wrong, just seems like you'd want an additional safety like rcp1936 ended up with if the trigger is that light.

I agree but you're assuming the OP is using his for self defense. He didn't say either way in the post. Here's my competition gun trigger pull.

No this M&P isn't my go to self defense weapon. My duty weapon is a pretty standard Gen 4 Glock 17 and my off duty carry is usually a Glock 19 that breaks at 4.5 lbs. Would I feel that I could defend my life or the life of my family with this M&P sure, but most likely it won't ever in that position as I can't say I've ever carried it.

Keep up the good work. Had I known you planned to release your Apex grade barrels I wouldn't have purchased a KKM.
