Just got back to the states, had dinner and stopped by the Vegas Bass Pro to see what used guns they may have; Ive been pleasantly surprised several times before.

I immediately spotted this gal, but the price was hidden underneath and there were no sales folks available to reveal the magic number; they were all busy helping others. I figured it would be priced at $1500, probably a little more. Having a few already, my line in the sand was $1500. When the price was finally revealed, I about soiled myself. Other than fingerprints, the condition is about as good as it gets. With my discounts, it came to $920 pre tax.

That was a steal. I have two of them and would have bought it without question. We have a Bass Pro and a Cabelas within 15 miles and neither has used guns anymore.

Definitely not many miles on her. Grips number to the gun. Cleaned her up, put in a 14# rebound spring and installed some combats. She's ready for some range time.

Glad I stopped by Bass Pro last night.

SWEET ! I'm hoping to run into one of them. I walked into a nice 586 month or two ago. Perhaps my time will come again soon?

That is the deal of the week for sure. Deals like that are hard to come by in today's market, I can see why you jumped on it. All #'s matching M27
3 1/2" for $920 in that condition……Wow. 👍👍

Bass Pro

Didn't get a killer price at a Bass Pro, but at a Cabelas online, clear across the country, I did get a Pre M45, M&P 22 in about 98% cond. 4" bbl., It was part of a 15 like guns shipment to Rex Firearms in 1958. It wound up being a non model marked 4 screw. Cost me plenty, but these are super scarce. Sorry, no pics.

Not bass pro, but similar story. When I lived back east they had a gander mountain not too far from my house. I had just gotten back from Afghanistan and was in the mood for another revolver.
They had about a dozen used revolvers in the case, mostly model 10/64, all priced a bit high to me (400-500 bucks in 2009) then in the mix of the row, something looked off. An adjustable sighted gun that looked bigger. Was a high way patrolman. Aftermarket stocks, but a small envelope included the original numbered magnas. Gun was definitely shooter grade but not rough by any means. Went out the door with me for $325. The kicker is it was a first year production for that model. Kept it a few years, but always preferred my K frames, so off it went, for near triple what I paid. Every once in a while these big merchandisers will slip a good deal out there.

That's definitely a low mileage Model 27-2. Looks like it was handled and maybe dry fired a lot more than it was actually shot. You did good for getting it for less than $1k.
