Went into Sportsman's Warehouse and they had more ammo than I've ever seen in the store.

When the shortage hit, they removed most of the stock from shelves and put it behind the counter.

Well it's back out on the help-your-self shelves.

And the shelves are full.

Found 444 marlin, a couple different kinds of 41 mag, multiple kinds of 454 Casull and 460 S&W, about every type of BuffaloBore, 50 BMG, 338 Lapua, all sorts of hard to find stuff.

Plus lots of 35 Remington that I've had trouble finding recently.

They must have had a major truck load show up since the last time I was there a couple weeks ago.

Unless they sell this out and don't get more, I'm declaring the shortage over.

I went to the Bass Pro Shops store in Miami (actually Doral) earlier today. The shelves were VERY full too. The only items kept behind the counter were 9mm and 22 LR... although they seemed to have quite a good quantity of that too. Note: with the 9mm and 22 LR, they only had a couple of brands, but for the other calibers... Remington, Winchester, Federal, Hornady all present.

The new Field and Stream in Cranberry, PA has lots of pretty much everything but 22 lr on the shelves - and the prices on nearly everything is far too high for me to be close to interested until or unless my stock and reloading supplies dwindle to near nothing.
All my local Walmarts on the other hand have had not much of anything - a smattering of stuff.

My Walmart has lots of ammo in stock, but no .22, what little bulk packs they get in never make it to the case.

I cannot believe I can't find any 22 short for my Marlin, unless I want to get a gouging by CTD or the like, and that's never going to happen:(

I'd like 1000 rounds of 9mm Federal HST +P 124's and 1000 rounds of .22LR, at GOOD prices. When I can easily do that, you're "the shortage is over" might mean something to me. Until then, I think it's safe to assume availability is regionally different.

What shortage? I don't shoot .22LR (my wife does so I have a few thousand rounds around) but I make my own centerfire ammo. It's better and cheaper (and doesn't run out) IMO. I can still find components, admittedly more expensive than the past but what isn't, so to me there was/is no shortage. BTW the gun shop attached to my range has no limits on ammo, but I just walk by, don't even look at the prices. :D

My local ACE Hardware has had .22 ammo available since before Christmas. You can only buy 100 rounds per visit though. And only CCI.

On the Shooting Gallery last night, the episode was called "What to shoot when there is no ammo" or something to that effect. It was pathetic. Air rifles, crossbows, laser pistols. What's next, slingshots and spitballs?

When I retired my guys could not find any ammo, they bought me a sling shot. I've got some extra squirrels. Anyone hungry?

I have more ammo than any Walmart I've been in over the last year plus.

Yesterday I went by their ammo counter when we hit the joint for grub.

The shelves look like a grocery store shelf in an end of the world movie. Dark and empty.

One needs to pay attention, it might be a foreboding of other things to come. Like groceries, tobacco or beer.
