I was out-of-town yesterday and had a ridiculous amount of work to get done today. When I got to my office I closed the door, put on my headphones and put on some blues to work by.

This song came up and at about 30 second I stopped what I was doing and restarted it. I had forgotten just how gifted a musician Alvin Lee was. 7 minutes of heaven.

Phenomenal talent. We lost him too soon.

His blistering, blazing rendition of "Going Home" has always been one of the high points of the movie "Woodstock" for me.

Thanks for the link.

Alvin Lee and Ten Years After is one of those bands that defined my teenage years. "Bluest Blues", "going Home", "Hey Jude", "I'd love to change the World" and so many more. Thanks for the memories.
