Let's not forget about the pilot, Roger A. Peterson.
Just because he wasn't a famous celebrity, doesn't mean he wasn't loved any less by his family and friends that knew him.

I live about 25 miles from the crash site, and have been to the "Surf", many times over the years.

Their music will live in my heart forever!

I have a friend who was 19 at the time and living in Mason City. He couldn't get to the concert but was a huge fan. When he heard about the crash he went down to the local newspaper office. They had photographed it. He asked, and they gave him the actual prints of the crash site. Not copies mind you. He still has them and I saw them several years ago. He has researched it quite thoroughly and has some rather interesting theories about the crash.
