Finally got my wife, her daughter and the grand-daughter out
for a go with the M49, 686 6" a 3" Kahr and the new 9mm that is nameless, so far.

I ran the chrony and helped load and make sure things went well.
We started with the 38 snub and light target loads for the 21 oz.........
then as things got boaring, I let them try a full blown 125gr Magnum load.
Yea!! The grand-daughter liked that.

The little 16 oz. 3" Kahr was a little light for the girls with recoil but we were using light loads.
I finally brought out the long barrel with a lot more weight.
All three liked it a lot better and I let the youngster (32) shoot it
for my chrony new target loads out of a long barrel, that worked well in the C9, 3.5".

I was embarrassed by the good eyes, steady nerves and Veronica's ability to
handle a weapon that she has never shot before, since she was
leaving Reno for a new job in Vegas, plus it was her birthday.

I was hoping for sub-sonic but with a 5" barrel, I have a LOT of
testing to do, as I logged the data and found out we are in a different world with this weapon.
The fps below was the C9 difference.... BE86 was new and no data with the C9.

Later.

That sounds like fun....

Some women have what it takes to be a marks(person). Lyudmila Pavlichenko was the top Soviet sniper in WWII that had 309 kills. Her ability was noticeable the first time she shot a rifle.

I like the way you started slow and worked up. That's the way to teach them rather than trying to shock/scare people where they don't won't to do more.

The women I have seen show up for lessons at the local indoor range often nail the bullseye. My shooting partners wife is one heck of shot with her little Ruger 380 left handed or right handed or two handed and she will always game up to shoot something different that I bring and shoot it well!

Your day out sounds like pure enjoyment and those are some fine groups with the CFE looking outstanding:)
I'm excited, my granddaughter is wanting me to take her shooting so first we do several get togethers to get comfortable with the guns and safety then off to the range in the near future, I really look forward to it she is soon to be 17yrs old.
I think possibly women learn quicker because it is all about what they are being taught strictly related to aiming and trigger control, most are not at all interested in the mechanics of what is going on with the gun just they want to hit the target.............and they do!
Fun stuff!

The first time I took my wife to the range, I went over the safety rules and did some dry fire. I called ahead and let the guys at the range know that it was my wife's first time and to help her out.
I stayed out in the shop when she went in with one of the guys. About 20 min later I see this guy pulling on my wife's arm with one hand and waving the target with the other. Then I heard him as he went up to everyone in the shop yelling "this is her first time shooting"
When I was aloud to see the target I saw that she sent 50 rounds down range, and all could be covered with a soda can.
She still has that target framed after 9 years. The only problem is she is getting better, and I am getting worse.

The way she shoots,I'd say she can take care of herself!
My daughter who is also 32 also just got the hang of the 9mm...but I keep trying to bring her back on the right track!
