In 1956 you could buy a Combat Action Holster, floral carved,
from Hunter for $6.70.

In 1959 Chic Gaylord's Federal Speed Scabbard would set you
back $7.00.

In the early 1960s Bucheimer;s Federal Man was only $6.98.

In 1968 Bianchi's #1L (Lawman) could be bought for $8.50.

By 1970 inflation was setting in. Lawrence's #34 FBI holster
was up to $12.95.

But those low prices were relative also to low incomes. I couldn't
afford them then.

Here they are, as listed, left to right:

I usually compare hours, days, months, etc. worked when comparing costs from back in the day to today. It often works out about the same.

I should get on a rant about the irresponsible management of the Federal Budget and inflation, but I'll just let it go.
