I want my 3.5 hours back!

With the exception of a few performances, it was the worst music award show I have seen in a long time.

Adele, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Rait, Tony Bennett/Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudsons Tribute to Whitney Houston.(maybe missed a few others)

The rest was pure garbage.:(

What?? You didn't like Nicki Minaj's...uh..."performance"?!?!

Or Paul McCartney singing lousy songs? In a worn voice?

I watched it all because I was severely lazy and didn't want to do anything else.

I thought I was the the only stick in the mud. Music awards???? Performences I guess you could call some of them...With the exceptions of those allready mentioned I was left wondering what is this stuff...Glen did a lot better than I was expecting, and the tribute to Whitney Houston by Jennifer Hudson was pretty nice.....That probably was a hard act to follow.......The rest of it just looked disjointed or something like that.........Are we really that hard up for talent??? Maybe under the circumstances it was to be expected...O'well another year, another show.......

You guys still watch stuff like the Grammy's??? Wow.

But then I'm so jaded that I'm just waiting to hear how they spin Whitney's blood toxicology report. It's sad to hear of her passing, but the way she lived much of her life was just as sad.

Not that I'm perfect. But I'm not in the spotlight.

The Grammy's were on? Guess I missed it. I never watch 'em anyway.

I don't follow Taylor Swift, but that video was good. She makes me think of a hot farmer's daughter......:)

I agree. I only watched it because my wife wanted to. After an hour I couldn't take it anymore. Turned on a Miami CSI rerun and it seemed really good after the Grammys. I can't understand how some entertainers become famous. I've seen better in Las Vegas lounges walking through casinos. In my opinion Adelle took it all away in a category by herself. Just don't want to hear "We could of had it all" again for a while.

I watched a little of it and thought Adele contributed a nervous but very well done performance of her hit song "Rolling In The Deep". It was good to see that she recovered from her surgery and was still able to thrill audiences with her remarkable God given voice. I was also a little surprised at how bad McCartney sounded and how terrible Springsteen's guitar riffs sounded in the closing act. Other than Adele winning as she deservedly did, I thought the the show, as a whole, was a waste of broadcast time and money.

Were the Beach Boys any good?

Not really, they really are not the Beach Boys of old. What's left of them sounded OK but they have a whole big band now. Brian Wilson was/is a genius and considering what he has gone through. Other than the Eagles I do not know many groups that had the harmony of them.:)

It had its high points and its low points. My wife was going to watch anyway, so I divided my attention between that, the book I am reading, and the 'net. Some of the performances were pretty good. My first reaction to Bruno Mars (who the heck is he?) was Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, but then I realized he was channeling James Brown's footwork, and I began to be entertained. Some of the other earlier production numbers were pretty good, and opening with The Boss got my attention, too. Adele was a pretty good story, and I found her personally likable in the 60 Minutes interview that preceded the Grammys. I have always been lukewarm to Taylor Swift, but her performance was amusing, and the gals all looked great in those Depression-era house dresses, like something from the Coen brothers.

OTOH, the Beach Boys were tired as they have been for the last thirty years, and Paul McCartney trying to croak out his "new" standards was an embarrassment.

Save your hours for Rock & Roll Induction ceremonies.

Thanks for the comeback on the Beach Boys. I almost watched the show for them, but decided there was probably a lot of stuff I didn't want to sit through. Good to know I didn't miss much.
