I saw it Friday afternoon, which turned out to be a good time as I missed the big Friday night crowds.

I'm not going to give away any plot details, but I enjoyed it more than 'The Force Awakens'. There were a few spots where the action scenes were pointlessly drawn out and some silly dialog. A couple of spots where the bad guys flip flop between relentless and breathtakingly stupid.

If you are into Star Wars at all, I think it is worth seeing. I still rank it below Rogue One though.

I'll admit, I'm not a Star Wars fan, but Ms. Judy sure is. We'll definitely go see it. I can't keep any of them straight. The only one I really enjoyed was the first one. The rest just seemed to be trying to out-do the first while I got more and more confused trying to remember in which order they were supposed to have happened.

Nevertheless, I faithfully go to see them with Ms. Judy. On one occasion while we were watching one of the Star Wars movies, we happened to sit next to some friends of ours. The guy leaned over to me and whispered, "Hey, I thought you didn't like Star Wars."

I replied, "I don't...but Judy loves them, and I love Judy...so here I am.":o

Oh well. I'll treat myself to a large bucket of popcorn drenched in butter flavored grease, sit back and try to keep the story line straight while Ms. Judy enjoys the heck out of it.:)

I won't be seeing it. Frankly, I though Episode VII was a joke. So many inconsistencies with the old movies, scientific impossibilities, feminist propaganda, the list goes on, and on.

I too saw the movie Friday morning, early bird discount & no crowds. Although the movie was entertaining, it lacks George Lucas's vision of the original Star wars and IMHO reeks of modern day political correctness. With that being said, it was well worth the $6.50 I paid for the early bird special.

Rogue One was the bomb. Will go and see the new feature in a few days with the grand kids.

My Sons saw it and were not impressed. I guess I will wait until it come out on Television and not waste the money.

My son and granddaughter saw it at midnight Thursday and loved it.

There’s no movie in the world I’d go to at midnight just to say I saw the first showing.

I’ll see it, perhaps tomorrow afternoon.

I love the Star Wars movies and am delighted that we have some new ones.

Went with my daughter this morning, it's a good movie not a great one. I still don't approve of how Disney has altered Lucas's original vision (pray they don't alter it any further...), the wink wink jokes fell flat and I was left a little unsatisfied with how some of the plot lines played out but it's definitely entertaining. Laura Dern almost ruined the entire movie for me though. Her wooden acting was even more awful than normal playing a poorly written character that seemed to be shoehorned in for no reason other than to spare a main character. Even my daughter didn't like her. Mark Hamill put in his best performance ever and BB-8 still upstaged some the main actors though not as often as in FA.

What really gets me mad is how some of these characters that have NEVER trained as a Jedi, all of a sudden are just as good or better than a Jedi.

Great point, the compressed time line of the newest trilogy, while giving it some immediacy and tension, leaves out an awful lot of the character and plot building that went on between the individual movies in the previous trilogies. It's another one of the things I don't like about the direction Disney has taken the franchise away from Lucas's original vision.

I agree there. There was too much time put into irrelevant action scenes that took away from building a story.

...scientific impossibilities...

There's a reason it's called science fiction.

The last Jedi is a great movie, we took the kids, it has the Disney imprint, with women particularly in authority positions, and all races, beliefs and what not equally respected, but that is all part of it. At least there was no giant Death Star or Star Killer to sabotage. It has enough science fiction violence and family dysfunction for anyone. It moves the saga forward and has a strong ending. I look forward to the next one. Never underestimate "The Force".

I don't care what any say's... Darth Vader before or after the suit would destroy any of these wannabe force users in the new series. No challenge.

Which one is Rogue One-I know them by numbers not titles
That's the one between VII and VIII. It's a supplemental story intended to fill in some gaps in the story line.

I am a STAR WARS freak. When I was 11 years old in 1977 and first saw Darth Vader, I was hooked! BTW, he's STILL my hero, even though he's not there any more. I just hope Kylo Ren can follow in his grandfathers (Darth Vader) footsteps and be just as good as an evil villain, or better!

Darth Vader needs to come back! I miss him. :(
I'm not a Star Wars freak, but I was 11 in 1977. The only time I ever cut class was to go see the premier of Return of the Jedi.

This one was good. Certainly better than I, II or III which were not cast well. I think you will be disappointed in Kylo Ren.

To be more accurate, it's set just before and leading directly into the original Star Wars (don't call it A New Hope! it didn't have a secondary title) movie. It tells the story of the creation of and how Leia and the rebellion got the plans for the 1st Death Star.
