A few days ago my friend and I were on Toledo Bend fishing. It was a clear and beautiful day,one more suited for boat riding than fishing. We were fishing docks and structure close to the bank. Business was slow and we were about ready to call it a day when we noticed a man. He was on the bank and had apparently hung something that was giving him a fit.

We put our rods down and started watching the show. It was back and forth...back and forth...back and forth. This went on for 30 minutes or more and had become quite entertaining. Finally my friend called to the man and asked if he needed help.

He was so wrapped up in his battle with whatever was on the other end of his line he ignored my friend. So we waited patiently to see if he could land the monster that was eating him up.

Well,It must have been his day because while all this was going on another boat had pulled along side of us. There were two young men in the boat who had come out to test some new scuba gear. As they were preparing to dive the man on the bank called out to them.

He explained his situation and asked if they could follow his line down to the fish and find out what he had hung and why he couldn't reel it in. Like I said this must have been his day. They agreed and one of them took his line and disappeared below the surface.

I guess it must have seemed like days to this poor guy before the diver resurfaced......it was actually only an hour or so. When the diver had gotten back in the boat and was able to talk he called to the guy and said "you have a big one."

I could tell by the look that guy had he was fired up now and ready to bring his whopper home. The diver again called to the guy and explained the situation in greater detail. He said "yeah,it's a big one,but there's a problem."

After hearing this news the guy's joy turned to despair and he hollered "what do mean there's a problem?" The diver called back and said "well, there's an old sunken car down there and your fish is in the back seat and every time I try to get it out it rolls the window up on me."
