My late father in law served in No. Italy at the end of WWII and in Korea. His disgust with the Red Cross knew no bounds and remained unsaid.

Rather than acknowledging the empathy in his message you chose to focus on syntax?

I read every word of it, and as someone that HAS BEEN through:
Agnes, Gloria, Hugo, Bob, Isabel, Ernesto and Sandy, I can tell you I have a TON of empathy for folks that are going through one.
You can trace my childhood and then my Navy duty stations just by the storm's locations, and I can tell you, after Hugo, I got the shakes whenever we were lined up for another hurricane.
I've seen and lived through things that when shown on TV, what you see on the screen pales in comparison to what what is around you.
What he said is true and real. Doesn't make it any less of a "wall of text", consider me a heartless son of a gun.
I'm not, but by all means, consider away, that's what people on forums do...
