Checking out at the local Walmart tonight with my weekly ration of Tula .223 ammo I suddenly had an epiphany.

Every time I find ammo in stock and take the mrs. with me on an ammo run I pay well in excess of $2 a round!!!!

You see, its genetically impossible for any female to physically walk from one end of the store to the other and NOT buy something...

Tonight, 6 boxes of tula .223 cost me 31.00 + $20 in cosmetics. Other nights its been $100+!!!

"Oh while we are up here I can get this...Or we needed that...." I am better off paying full Gun Broker no reserve bidding war prices!!!

Oh and BTW dont even think about taking the kids!!!!!

I guess going straight to the ammo counter and right back out of the door is a 'man' thing.

A few days back I did this and when I got home I thought, "Darn, I should have gotten _____ while I was there!"

Yep. Men usually go shopping as if "on a mission." In and out. That is, of course, unless they've gone to a hardware or gun store. ;)

Take her in the back door through the tire and automotive service straight to sporting goods. It's easier and cheaper than going in the front doors.

My cure, don't take the Mrs.

Buy the 3 box limit, take it to the car, come back in the store and have a cup of coffee at the Dunkin Donuts, then go back to the ammo counter and buy 3 more boxes. It may take you an extra 15 minutes or so but you will save between $20 and $100 for that short time spent drinking coffee.

Men don't shop. We buy!
Women shop. And shop. And shop some more. Then buy until YOUR money runs out.
Then they charge!!!!

Women drive 30 miles to save $1, buy something because it is on sale even if they don't need it, and grab a cup of four-bucks on the way home. Yeah, women shop till the bank account drops!

No, can't lay claim to that one. Someone sent it to me a long time ago and I just pass it along every now and then. Someone sure had it pegged though, but if you'll notice SHE never even made it into the GAP!

The whole Walmart being out of ammo is a big load of BS. The owner of my LGS , after the begining of the scare, had to resort to buying from Wally world to fill his shelves with 9mm. He would back up to the loading dock, fill his truck to capacity and be on his way. My particular Wally had over 1500 CASES of 9mm and have only put out roughly 15 cases on the shelf in peice meal numbers since this began. The last time the LGS owner went up there, they allowed him 8 cases, when they still had multiple pallets full, and told him not to come back as they wouldnt sell him any more. It's a crock that they are throwing around bogus facts that there is no more in the distribution centers and wont be ordering anymore any time soon.

Last night 4 boxes of .223 and 2 boxes of 9mm cost me an additional $42 at the front register for cat food, kitty litter, drinks and other "necessities"....

LOL. Contrary to common sense, most retailers make their money by sitting on popular product instead of selling it.

Your tinfoil hat is showing. Hahaha.
