We have some naval vets here who may like this, and had a discussion awhile back about rhe Aussie TV serues, "Sea Patrol", which you can view on YouTube. Good show.

Here, we see a documentary about a Royal Australian Navy frigate (?) on patrol in the dangerous area bordered by Middle Eastern nations that shelter pirates, drug runners, and weapons violators. You'll see the mixture of sailors and officers and understand their perilous mission. Weather and heavy seas sometimes see the bow dip under water and one never knows whether a dhow from Iran, Pakistan, Yemen, or the Sudan may harbor illegal cargoes or worse.

This is a Natl. Geographic film of high quality and showing an elite naval vessel in action.

I found it quite interesting and if you liked, "Sea Patrol", it's all the better. Has what I think are Vietnamese subtitles, and their re-supply ship is a US vessel.

I also enjoyed the TV series.
Will look for the Nat Geo show.

Was I unclear? The National Geo series is the one in the link here.
Just click it and view that episode.

But I think the image is from the TV show. That looks like Lt. Kate McGregor on the right, and the name on her shirt fits. I liked the actress as Maggie on, "Blue Heelers", too.

Frank, let's do it again. The TV series. I think they have all five seasons. The episode in the link, alas, doesn't feature the two hottest chicks, who were in different seasons.

Watch in this series for CZ-85 9mm pistols subbing for the Brownings the Navy really uses. There are some real Brownings, but not all. I recall one episode where an officer was approaching a bunker believed to harbor a dangerous fugitive, and the hammer on her Browning wasn't even cocked!

But, overall, this was a good series. I'm going to watch some of the episodes again.

In this episode, Commander Maxine White tells her husband that their son isn't his, but is Mike's. And Kate, in love with her commander, Mike, has to deal with his having fathered Maxine's child. Also, Dutchy takes the younger sailors, including (female) Bird, on a survival training trek that turns into something worse.

As adventure shows go, this one was fair dinkum, giving viewers what they wanted. Good on 'em! :)

Newfie dog? I lived there for a year and don't think I ever saw one in Newfoundland. Yes, I've heard of the breed. Maybe they're more common across the island, near St. John's.

I was stationed above King George's Bay, on the west coast. The accent there is different from what you hear from Shannon and Tracy Tweed and other Newfs from around St. John's.

Anne Murray, the singer from nearby Nova Scotia, also has that flat voice like the Tweed sisters. It's pretty distinctive.
