:) Man I am excited, only 2 weeks and I will soon be getting a new 325 pd airlight 45 acp to add with my model 60. I reaaly like the 45 acp and have a taurus tracker 4 inch that shoots 45acp. When My wife gave me the go ahead to buy it, I was extactic. What does this great forum think of this revolver? Good carry gun or not? It will have the 2.75 inch barrel. I have been waiting along time to add some Smith's to my collection and finnaly am getting the chance. thanks

Well, I don't know about the 325, but you have a great wife. Treat both well and you will be a happy man.

Had one for a while...sounded like a great idea.

In reality, it weighs about the same as an alloy frame 1911, holds two less rounds, is significantly less pleasant/easy to shoot accurately, and is nowhere near as thin/concealable.

Your experience may be different, and I hope it is.

Aloha,

And What is the Wife geting for being so nice in return?

You're going to Owe her if you don't be nice in return.

Since my wife likes Pretty BBQ guns.........

I'm thinking one of the new Sig 380s with Titanium Rainbow finish to match her other Sig 380 with the same finish......

If you not nice to Momma, the next ime you may Not bo so lucky.

Had one for a great time but after 23 years I had to get rid of her. Now I can buy whatever gun I want. LOL

Good luck

I am a Die Hard 1911 in 45 ACP kind of guy...
Likewise for N frame S&W 44 Mags...
The Model 25 in 45 ACP is a Jewel IMHO...

I bought a S&W Night Guard in 45 ACP from a friend.

I really like it. It shoots good, I do not fine recoil to be that bad with bullets from 185 to 230gr, including +P 185's.

While it is bigger than a J frame, it is very light.

With full moon clips is is the fastest revolver to reload.

I owned 1911s for many, many years and have to admit that each of them jammed at one time or another. These days I have a drawer full of 25s/625s and no semi's at all. In my book six-for-sure beats eight (well, maybe, uh, hold on while I clear this stovepipe, would you?) anytime. The airlites can be tough to shoot accurately. I'd replace the firing pin with one from Apex Tactical, and install a Wolff mainspring and 13lb rebound spring before I went to the range for the first time.

Tough for me to hold onto with full-power 230 gr loads. Tore a flap from between my thumb after 12 rounds. To carry a lot, shoot a little...it's a fine gun. IMHO.

I nearly bought a 4" model but the lite weight scared me off. Well that and a friend introduced me to a nice used 625 4" model. Planned to use it for IDPA shooting and was worried about the lite weight being to much on long days of shooting.

My 325PD arrives tuesday. I've heard good and bad. Still looking forward to adding to my small collection of .45. Ammo is hard to find.

"When My wife gave me the go ahead to buy it"

You know....... guns cost less if your wife doesn't know you're buying em

I think you will love both (Wife & 325PD). Recoil is just that much of a problem, I'm certainly not a big person and I enjoy shooting mine as much as I can afford. Put a good set of Pac's on it and enjoy a great gun.

I own one and I love it. as long as I'm shooting it with the hogue rubber grips!
