I had a customer who came in to eat that was about that size. I had a time trying to find a chair that would hold him and yet allow him to get his legs under a table.
It was Veteran's Day and I casually asked him if he was a Vet. He laughed and said that he tried to enlist for the Korean War, the recruiter was really excited about catching such a prize. When he reported for the physical the recruiter even showed up to escort him through. An officer saw him and started screaming to get that giant the Hell out of there. The poor recruiter said, "But Sir, He is big enough to carry a howitzer all by himself." The answer was that yes, that was so but he would have to do it naked as the U.S. Army did not make boots or uniforms that large.

End of a possibly great military career.

A great history lesson. Too bad the South didn't have a basketball team.

We were watching the Antiques Roadshow tonight. Well, she was. I was just in the room.

One guy had a Civil War diary from his Great-Great-Great Grandfather. It was valued at $3000-4000.

My deceased borther in law was 6 ft. 8". Couldn't get into the service during Viet Nam because of his height. Unless he wanted to buy his own uniforms. He wisely declined but later died on the operating table during heart surgery. He was 27.

my brother is 7'3'' and, for the most part, hates sports. Played a bit of basketball in college, but realized that the others on the team thought themselves more student than athlete and that it was a waste of his time. He is now set to start a top 25 law school in the fall.

some people get the brains and the brawn.....
