Oldest daughter is at the hospital in labor with her second child. Another son.
There have been issues with this pregnancy but everything is looking real great.
Texted that she could not have an epidural so we sent prayers and this...

How many centuries have babies been born with out epidurals and look at the amount of people we have in the world!

Pretty sure I'd have sent other ways to reassure and comfort my daughter. Unless she was maybe a Marine, or a cage fighter, or something.

I don't know your daughter but if I ever did something like that to MY daughter I would be today's leading authority on pain.

At my age pain is a constant companion. I still don't go dutch with him.

They say that having a baby would be like a man passing an avocado through his you know what. It still amazes me that woman choose to have a second child.

I have had two children so far. It is by far the worst pain I have felt, I might have been able to handle it better if it wasn't happening almost non stop for hours and hours. Sure you cannot tap out and leave the situation so you do have to power through but only because you have no choice. If I was told cutting my fingers off would make the labor pain go away I would have seriously considered it.

I have come to the conclusion that a man getting kicked in the privates is more painful than child birth.
A year later, women say, "I'd like to have another baby."
Rarely do you hear a man say, "I'd like to get kicked in the privates again."

That is because child birth ends with a new little baby. I think if all I ended up with was painful privates I would skip the experience too.
