How about a trigger upgrade?

Yep, the old saying, more motor, less chrome :).

j/k, I've done a few mods to mine, heck we all have I'm sure.

OP, how do you like the BAD lever, I have been thinking about getting one, but the way it just hangs there it seems so out of place

Darn... No... I forgot. I've got 6 OEM 25 round mags and one plinker tactical 35 round mag.

Interesting that you'd do all the cosmetic stuff while NOT doing what is probably most important (aside from optics) to shooting the gun well, the trigger group.

Ah, but that is a preference and relative add-on option my fried. I am not interested in modifying the trigger pull of the weapon. I would prefer to leave it alone unless I could get it to match my AR... but I am not spending that much money on another trigger just to put it in my 15-22. That's why I said I'm done. Any one of the cosmetic changes on this rifle could be transferred to any other rifle I have... except I can shoot them inside.

These cosmetic changes will also fit on my Just Right 9mm Carbine or my AR and vice-versa.

Depending on the mood I am in and what I feel like putting down range that day... and actually depending on what accessories I want to equip my selection with, I can outfit any of them as I see fit.

That also goes for my trigger group... If I want to take the time to disassemble the AR and remove the trigger, just to put it in my 15-22 (which everything I've researched with the "upgraded" triggers is that there have increased FTFs or caused other problems) I can... but as I said above... I don't see a need for it functionally or economically.

Do I need any of these "upgrades" or "Add-ons"? Do any of us on this weapon really? Of course not... it's a .22 rifle. However, I believe that in a situation where pulling out my AR and driving an hour to shoot expensive ammo, then drive an hour back, then spend twice as long cleaning it than I do everything else (its my baby!) is just more of a hassle than a benefit, I will gladly make my 15-22 resemble and function as closely as possible to my AR (minus the trigger pull weight).

I can shoot the 15-22 and the 9mm at the indoor range, 10 minutes away and the ammo costs a lot less. If I get a chance to take my AR to the range, I can build it up to my specifications or to whatever operational training I want to do that day. Training with the heavier trigger pull on my 15-22 or 9mm will always assist with the lighter, adjustable trigger pull on my AR.

Do I want to put my EOTech L3 on my AR and drive an hour to shoot it today? Or maybe my Trijicon TA31F-RMR on my 15-22 and drive 10 minutes? Or maybe just use my Troy Battle Sights on my Justright Carbine to dump some 9mm?

Believe me... I have options and the ability to configure each weapon dynamically and for the task at hand.

Don't get me wrong, I'm simply pointing out the flexibility of the platform and showing there is really no need to have a "dedicated" add-on or upgrade to any of these weapons... so could it have a trigger upgrade? Sure.

Great job! To finish: more mags - 6 good, 12 better, 20 even better, next black dog 50 rd drums, Send the upper to Innovative Arms for an integral suppressor- quiet quieter than liberty, silencerco, gemtch and swr and prob the rest of external, but have not tested them, and it does it with federal 36 gr ( BBL is 10", can is 6.35 permanently attached , so not SBR) and trigger of course. Be Safe,

I agree with the others. If the purpose includes making the 1522 function as closely as possible to your AR then it makes sense for the trigger to be on top of the list of mods rather than left off the list. It's called "trigger time" not fake supressor time.

Nice looking rifle.

You could always add a Magbar - saw these at my gun range being used by instructors and just ordered it on-line. Works really well loading your magazines and it looks really cool hanging on your mag. I got desert Khaki color.

Besides this sounds like you've got plenty upgrades.

I like your take on what you need to spend on your 15-22. I think many folks spend way to much on a simple plinker rifle. And I to have a JR carbine, but it is calibered in .40 S&W. Love that gun... super accurate out to 200 yards. Velocity is in the .357 magnum range through a 16" barrel. would not want to get hit with a 180gr. bullet at that velocity.
Major damage done, and a big hole.

Well... you guys have convinced me... a new trigger it is!
My 15-22 is set up for Ruger (now NSSF) Rimfire Challenge. No cosmetics, just function for shooting fast, "accurately enough". Geissele Super Dynamic Three Gun trigger. I'm not sure this gun is inherently accurate enough to justify a high dollar two stage for the sake of accuracy but one would make it good for relatively inexpensive practice if you have a similarly set up "real" AR.
