I ran across this scene from The Sopranos television show and thought the choice of props was interesting. Pauly in the background has a Browning High Power with a curious hole drilled through the hammer, but Christopher in the foreground seems to have a DAO Smith & Wesson. Is this a 6946?
There is also what looks like a hole at the point where the extractor spring on the S&W might be - are extractors removed from blank prop guns?
Even the DAO feature does not save Christopher from the classic Hollywood mistake at the end of this sequence: the slide is back but he keeps pulling the trigger, which makes a distinct "click click click" sound indicating to even the dimmest television viewer his gun is empty.
