Cheeze! That reads like a list of my kid's collection.

I live on the Ontario / US border. Over there they have casinos, attractions, good restaurants, etc. Now I vow to never visit them again. The Prime Minister can take that to the bank. Or not take my money to the bank as the case may be.

I used to compete with pistol clubs in Ontario. It was an enjoyable experience with out northern neighbors. Then they banned pistols and the experience ended.

Different world today. Let them survive on their own taxes.

I find it of concern that they came up with that extensive list so quickly. I wonder if there is a similar list waiting in the wings in this country.

The list is similar to the NZ “buyback” list of 2019.

For now our second trache of legislation has taken a backseat to the Vivid-19 situation. It was due for the third reading in parliament when we went unto lockdown.

My guess is that the CV-19 and economic situations will take up all of the governments time until early August when parliament is due to ride pending our election.By then the economic situation will be such that there will be a real expectation of a change in government.

With businesses already closing down and unemployment heading into double digits for the first time it is a distinct possibility.

" and personally will refuse to tolerate it in our country, if it ever comes to that."

Don

......and somehow I'll bet that a year ago, you and others would have, "refused to tolerate" being sequestered to your homes against your will with forced closure of private and public businesses, etc, etc, etc..... They are going to do what they dang well please whether you refuse to tolerate it or not.[/QUOTE]

That's an apples vs oranges comparison......I view it as just common sense to have "temporary" precautions to avoid a potentially deadly disease. This in no way compares to the "permanent" restrictions Canada's PM is pushing.

Don

Have they told us what the *** mass killer was using yet? I still don't remember them telling us. Something on this list?

They've probably had it for years. Just waiting for a good crisis.

I wonder if there is a similar list waiting in the wings in this country.

Ya' think? Of course there is.

Just waiting for a good crisis- sheeple will always pick the soft illusion of security over the harsh reality of liberty. :(

Even with the Second Amendment here,
I foresee an eventual strict licensing of
the so-called assault weapons.

Protesters in Michigan capitol with long guns
and wearing assorted military style costumes
will be the Poster Children for a renewed movement
here.

Yep. I'm all for the 2nd Amendment, with every fiber of my being. Those folks may mean well, but, they're doing more harm than good when it comes to future firearm laws/ownership in this state.

I used to think similarly, but cajoling and conciliation don't seem to be very effective.

A bold move on their part. Maybe that'll get some traction.

Not to start a fight, but I believe there were probably M14s used in the My Lai massacre. Thank God for Hugh Thompson. A true hero.

It's too bad the Canadian's didn't insist on impeachment when Maggie Trudeau was "reportedly" shall we say involved with; The Rolling Stones and Fidel Castro and good old Pierre Trudeau was outed as cuckold!
