I see lots of stuff here about the AR platforms but very little regarding the now extinct S & W I bolt, the T/C Icon, and T/C Venture.
Recently I bought a T/C Venture in 30-06 and had a Nikon Monarch 2.5X10-50mm scope mounted on it. Love it so far! Put together quite well, very accurate, nice recoil pad, I like the detachable mag (my Savage 110 is a top loader and has a brick for a recoil pad), good trigger, and loaded/cocked indicator. A real nice rifle for under $500.00. Anyone else have any of the above? If so, how do you like it?

I have the Thompson Icon in .270, I load 140gr hpbt at 49.5 gr, and it is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned.

The Thompson Icon got a lot of pretty good press and reviews, The IBolt not so much. I would expect anything made by Thompson to be pretty decent quality.

As shown in my thread, I am absolutely loving my Ibolt. The molded in sling mounts are kind of retarded but the accuracy has been incredible. I own a few pretty nice rifles but the only one I have that shoots this well is a 17hmr. The customer service from S&W was really good too so I would recommend the rifle to someone who likes to tinker a little bit. Out of the box, the trigger sucked and the magazine wouldn't feed right but with a few tweaks it works great. :D
