Threaded barrels for .40 cal ?

I want a threaded barrel for my compact M&P 2.0 .40 cal 4 inch pistol. Yes I know, I'm a sinner...I like .40 cal. I don't know of anyone who makes one in .40 cal. Did any of the 1.0 .40 cal 4.25 inch pistols have any with threaded barrels ? I could do the modifications needed to put on my compact frame even if I could find a whole slide assembly with a threaded barrel. And a plus would be if there were any core versions of a 1.0 slide assembly in .40. And I guess this next question is best if I ask Smith and Wesson themselves, but any word on core versions of the 2.0's coming out ? I'm sure it would be in 9 and .45 any ways - the .40 is being left out in the cold. But I will not surrender ha ! Thanks for any input you all might have for me. : )

Hi KKM Precision and Bar-Sto both list M&P barrels for the compact and offer threaded options. But bring a credit card with a high limit.

Great quality, I have both a KKM and BarSto barrels and they are accurate and reliable. You may need a 'smith to fit the BarSto, but if you call either company they will give you straight info.

Holy cow I pretty much gave up on a reply in this thread. AMEN !!! Thank you !!! I'm all over it, and will update with my decision ! (Proof there is a God ! - threaded barrels for .40 cal !!! - .40 ain't dead yet ha !)

Very pleased with the performance of the BarSto in My G17. Of course I got a killer desk on it used, but unused. I think you will be happy with yours.
