I'm going to assume the threads for the flash hider are typical 5/8 X 24, but want to verify before I go dumping money on something that doesn't fit

I just bought a Daniels Defense A2 Standard Flash Hider. So...we will be finding out if 5/8 fits. I will let you know. I tell you what though, the one thing I hated on this gun was the 12inch looking flash hider. Ugly.

Just got my DD flash hider in the mail. Fits like a charm. I will post pics later. Looks way better than stock.

5/8x24 is standard for ARs. I don't know about some bolt guns that have flash suppressors and/or compensators.

while this may be the case, SOME of the parts on the M&P10 are propietary: just wanted to make sure that this wasn't the case with the threading for the FH

the flash suppressor is huge! how much of a problem was it taking it off? looking for a compensator instead, anyone use one yet?
