Thumb drive how to

Ok, looking for a way to download some pics directly from my Stealthcam, which has an USB port right on the side. I didn't have a card handy, so now I need to download from the camera directly. If I get the 2.0 drive, do I just plug that right into the back of the camera? Never used these before.

Look up the camera manual on the mfgs. web site. Find out from the instructions whether you can go direct to USB flash drive. My first thought is no. I believe camera will have to be cabled to a P.C..

FWIW, you may have to format the USB flash drive before you can use it.

Just plug it into your PC, if you have a USB port, find it on "My computer," right click on it, and select format.

Then, if your camera allows for direct USB drive connection, the flash drive should be ready for use.
