I thought impact Wrestling was "Down the Tubes"!
I was mistaken. I see they have a limited engagement on POP/TV. on Tuesday Nights-9E/8C.
I happened to catch last Tue's airing, or part of it. What a Circus! Kurt Angle looked like he needed a step ladder to climb up on the top rope to dive into Matt Hardy!
WWE does not want him back, and I believe he is about to retire!
The moves on Impact, are so poorly choreographed, you can envision what's coming!
I think their demise is just a few months away! (but it is a form of entertainment, for some.)

I watch pro wrestling in preference to all other sports. I believe wrestling is real, whereas everything else is rigged...

AJ Styles is now in WWE, he was once seemingly the face of TNA.

Back in the 70s and 80s wrestling was good family entertainment. In Houston, a legendary promoter named Paul Boesch always put on a good show and had the Sam Houston Colussium (sic) filled every Friday night. There were the good guys and the bad guys. I still watch some of these old school shows on-line and they are STILL entertaining.
But, wrestling changed with the times. What used to be small, local promotions (or territories as they were called), there is now not too much choice and the product is certainly not up to the old school stuff...nor really family friendly, either. They also don't bother to hide the fact that it is phony...something that was kept REALLY hush-hush by everyone in the industry way back then.
Read any of Mick Foley's books on pro wrestling. You find that what went on behind the scenes was FAR more entertaining and hilarious than anything that went on in the ring.

In '69, I worked at Cincinnati Gardens. I got to meet Bobo Brazil, Man Mountain Cannon, Haystacks Calhoun, Ernie "The Cat" Ladd and others. The women 'rasslers' scared me to death.

Folks took it seriously back then. Mom still thinks Roller Derby is real.

 What, no mention of the one and only Gorgeous George?

HayStack Calhoun, him in his bib overalls... Vern Gagne (I don't know if I spelled his last name correctly)..remember him...then there was Baron Von Zipper...and less we forget the "little people"......Friday night fights, Saturday nights, rassling...I can't remember now the time slot for the "Bay City Bombers".

Now that stuff was when television WAS television!!!!!Especially watching on the ole Crosley tv..
