I have a friend with a 15-6 (4 inch). He has had it a couple years and is looking at something else. It is in the box. Looks to be fired little if any. (He has never fired it.) No wear marks. Has Pachmayr grips. He will let me have it for $400. I was really looking for a 15-3 or 4. Is there any reason I should NOT buy this one, and spend more for an older one? I feel like this is one of those deals I shouldn't pass up.

Reasons not to buy:
1) You're not very bright (I don't know you so I can't say)
2) It's not what you really want

Me? A nearly new looking Smith 15 with box for $400...I'd buy it. I don't think you can go too wrong.

I think Jay Hawk pretty well covered it. Great price on a like new 15. Right now my local dealer could sell police beaters for $400. He has not had a Smith & Wesson or Ruger Revolver on the shelf in over a month.
