After thoroughly testing ammo this last week with both of my M&Ps I decided to take the M&P 45 to this month's IDPA match at Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club just south of Charlottesville, VA. Since I had been having trouble loading the 10-shot magazines to capacity, I followed your advice and bought a Butler Creek Maglula UpLULA Magazine Speed Loader. Problem solved. So much easier...except for one magazine where I could not even load 8 rounds. I disassembled it and what did my eyes see? - a second magazine follower. Once removed and the magazine reassembled, the magazine took 10 round and functioned flawlessly.
As for the match, it was the first I'd shot since 2011 when I classified Sharpshooter in SSP. The gun worked flawlessly and the trigger work by the Performance Center and the grip work by David Bowie worked to perfection as well. Didn't win the match or anything as grand as that, but I very quickly got comfortable with the gun and the Bladetech holster. Reloads were oh so easy with the large magwell opening in the grip, and the trigger allowed me to transition from speed to precision without much thought.
All in all, a good first match. I'll post the results tomorrow once they are published.
