Good evening Forum.

I am looking for some suggestions on a dovetail sight adjustment tool. Since I am an amateur gunsmith and only work on my few guns, I would like to keep the cost affordable.

Thank you for any help that anyone can give.

I actually did a search for "Beavertail Sight" because I too never heard of one.  Please clarify.

If you are talking about a "sight pusher tool" there is one that is available for about $40 + bucks and claim they are a Universal type tool. I do not know how well it works as I don't own it. It is called the NC STAR VISM TOOL.

Sorry, but can you elaborate a bit on the "beavertail sight adjustment tool"? I've never heard of that one. When I make sight adjustments, I just use the appropriate screwdriver.

I made a serious mistake in that post. I meant DOVETAIL sight adjustment. .

That was my mistake. I meant dovetail sight adjustment. Can I say a serious mental lapse????

If you need a small screwdriver for your pistol sights......

As a gunny in the Navy, I just took a medium allen wrench,
put it in a vise and filed the long end down with a quality file
to get a nice small tip, that gave a snug fit.

Good luck.

I have NC STAR and it’s works. Used it on a Bodyguard sight that WOULDNT move with hammer and punch. The sight actually popped when it broke loose. I wouldn’t say it ok for a lot of use, but for occasional use, IMHO
