I know, I know, but I'm hooked.

My money's on either:
Gary Quesenberry (Homeland Security, Desert Storm, Special Ops)
or:
Jarrett Grimes (USAF Combat Arms Instructor, SWAT, Homeland Security).

I watched some of season 2 this weekend. It's not terribly interesting to me. I don't like the "drama" they try to build in.

Having said that, my good buddy Cliff Walsh is on season 3. He is a top notch revolver shooter and a bit of a nut. He also beat Jerry at the USPSA nationals about two years ago.

I will watch season 3 as long as Cliff is in.

That does distract from the shooting but it amazes me to see these fellas shoot. One individual shot better weak hand than most people can shoot strong. You got to admire talent like that.

I too am irritated by the drama junk, but still addicted as just love to see shooting--especially some of the targets they use and the shooting platforms. A little angry that they are still starting the show @ 10 EST.

Glad I'm not the only one tired of Colby. Having to watch him in his "Brawny Man" stance throughout the entire show.

I enjoy the shooting and really dislike the drama. Season 1 didn't seem to have as much as the second season. I hope this season is more about the shooting.

I'm on the other side of the fence with Top Shot. I absolutely love it.

I like Colby (he's a big pro-gun guy and a shooter since he was a kid) and I like the way he calls the action. If he wasn't there, you wouldn't even know what was going on. I like his jabs that get the competitors' blood boiling ("Jay! Misses! AGAIN! He hasn't hit a single target yet!"

I've watched coverage of other shooting events (SASS, American Shooter, FN 3 Gun) and despite my enthusiasm for shooting (it's the biggest part of my life next to family), I find myself fast forwarding due to boredom.

While I don't like the attitude and behavior of some of the participants on Top Shot, I do like the "drama." If everyone on the show just shot and there was no interaction, you couldn't find someone to root for. Or against.

The fun of the show is how much I like or hate someone.

I still feel bad for Tara on Season One because she had to leave because of her dad's illness (and he passed away before she could make it home). She never missed a shot and she kept herself out of the drama and was well liked by everyone in the house. I think she would have been hard to beat. Rooting for a Marine and Police Officer and one of the nicest people you could ever meet (I met her a few times when the show was airing) was wonderful.

Iain is also one of the greatest guys you could ever meet. His backstory on leaving England for the US because of the UK's stupid and ridiculous gun laws makes him a guy to look up to. He's also extremely personable and smart.

I just hope that this season's competitors learned from last season that the nice guys and girls who shoot well may not win, but they can get some good contracts in the shooting industry that will pay them well. The jerks don't get anything. (Although I think the 3rd Season was filming while the 2nd Season was still airing, I'm not sure.)

I look forward to tomorrow's first episode! The show has portrayed the shooting sports, the history of firearms, and the competition in a 100% positive manner. It has brought untold numbers of non-shooters into our fold.

when I was at firestone on saturday I caught this show for the first time while I was in the waiting room. It was pretty entertaining, enough so that I'd like to catch a few more episodes to see what's what.

The Mr. told me it's on Netflix so if I ever get some downtime I might fill it in with this...

We watch it on Netflix as well. We're always a season behind but so what. Actually my wife and daughter got me watching it. Some of the stuff said in the first season about firearms was incorrect though.

Last year I just got so sick of the farcical aspects such as the backstabbing and the fact that you can be completely awful but if you're on the winning "team" you get a pass, I didn't even watch the finale. If it was more of an actual shooting competition than a junior high school popularity contest I could maybe stomach it to see the guns.

IMHO the ONLY redeeming point to the entire show... at least it portrays shooting and firearms in a POSITIVE light.

Even TIVO'd ... it's far too contrived and overly dramatic. Even at 15 to 20 min's....Can't waste my time watching it.

Can't help but like it - my wife found it two years ago and we both enjoy it. We find those we like and those we dislike and find the whole thing quite interesting. After the first season the wife got her CWP and we enjoy going to the range together.

Hey Now!!!

I bought a Russian infantry rifle strictly because of the way he says it through that clenched tooth grin:

Moz-'n Naa-Gant:D

No one else picking a horse in this race? Where's the pool?

I can't handle Colby. He may be a really nice guy in real life. But the image he portrays on that show......Blechhh.

I can't wait.

I don't mind the drama. If it was just guns and shooting it wouldn't have made it past season 1.

My wife and sister both watch it - they'd never bother if it was just dudes scratching themselves and popping balloons.

I TIVO'd it and watched the second season last weekend so I just watched the shooting parts. Pretty good - I'd really like to try a lot of the shots, but they tell you not to try them at home - Rats!

I noticed that over and over they would pick up a hand gun with a finger in the trigger guard.
Also in one shot the guy had a stove pipe on an AR, but it *miraculously* fixed itself as the camera angle changed. That's a good feature :)
