Wish he coulda' taken his hands off the steering wheel long
enough to backhand that wuss in the passenger seat.
Just a matter of time before some of these idiots end up
with a tree thru their foreheads.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...

I don't know why y'all are ragging on the passenger. He was right, 40MPH was not fast enough to escape trouble.:p

A bunch of glory hound thrill seekers that probably had to change their drawers when they got home. They all ought to be spanked by one of the first responders who would have had to scrap their dead carcass out of the trees had they not been lucky enough to escape.

I was thinking the same thing

This video proves the driver has 2 admirable qualities:
1.) He kept his cool while the world around him was mostly airborne, and
2.) He displayed impressive self-restraint in that he didn't backhand the pudding in the passenger seat.
Unbelievable Storm Chaser Video Takes You Into Yesterday?s Oklahoma Tornadoes [VIDEO] | Flint's Best Mix

Man, that guy needs to get another job! At first he was telling the driver where to go all the time and I was thinking "He should be driving.". After a couple of minutes I thought , "No, I guess it's better that he ISN'T driving!.

I live in Oklahoma City and was watching the news channels during the tornados yesterday. A lot of the storm chasers on the radio and TV are about like the passenger in this car. They get so excited and confused and they're screaming into the microphone trying to describe the weather conditions you can't stand to listen to them.

IMO, the whole "storm chaser" gig has turned into a midway freakshow on steroids. PeePants passenger is painful to watch but sadly representative of much of today's pop culture.

I was thinking that it would be sad to have this as "his" 30 seconds of fame recorded for eternity... but more than likely he's quite pleased with himself.

Sooner or later they will learn to respect the storm

Sooner or later they will learn to respect the storm

It looks like at least three of them paid the ultimate price chasing storms. Renowned chaser Tim Samaras (Founder of TWISTEX), his son Paul Samaras, and Carl Young were all killed while chasing a tornado in El Reno, Oklahoma on Friday.

During my time in the Coast Guard I came to the realization that Mother Nature could not care less for humans. We are just small parasites and when she scratches that itch folks are gonna die. Whether it is water, heat, fire, ice or any other natural disaster, you just have to recognize that you are dealing with a force that can leave the petals on a flower or take down the mightiest building ever built.
