Just throwing this out there. Manufactured in 1971, JM marked Marlin 1894 Lever action in .44 mag, .44 spl. in great condition. I have owned this rifle since the mid 1970's and have fired it no more than 20 times. I had Col. Holland who was a well known gunsmith and wildlife artist in New mexico hand checker the forearm and pistol grip area as well as hand carve the butt stock with a grizzly bear scene and install a Pachmayr recoil pad. Really looks beautiful. Rifle has a 1X4 power scope installed. This is the more desirable JM marked rifle.
Wanting to trade for something ???- leaning towards handguns, for two reasons:
1. I don't use it and someone else could get some use out of it or it could be someone elses safe queen.
2. I don't hand load and .44 mag ammo is not inexpensive. .44 spl. isn't much cheaper.
Don't really know what I would trade for this and I'm open to just about anything that shoots. I would say the trade value for this rifle in somewhere between $600 to $800. This would make a great companion gun to a S&W 29, Ruger Redhawk and the like.
Shoot me an offer. All forum rules apply. Attached are a few pictures and more pictures can be emailed to anyone who might be interested.
