Trigger Adjustment on M&P FPC

I picked up a M&P FPC yesterday, but have not shot it yet. However, the trigger is pretty stiff. I've replaced parts on my M&P 1.0 and 2.0, which isn't difficult, but is there a way to smooth and lighten the FPC trigger?

The first thing I always do in that sort of situation is fire the gun about 500 times, and then see how it feels. I do notice that I am in a definite minority these days though.
