Trigger for a M&P 40 VTAC

Sorry if there has been a thread addressing this already, I am looking for an answer for trigger components.

I have a M&P 40 VTAC, love the pistol, hate the trigger face and reset. Recently installed an APEX kit with a tactical tool trigger face. In doing so, all of the take up has been eliminated. I was only looking to replace the trigger face and improve the "feel" of the reset. Is there any way I can keep the trigger face, and regain some or all of the take up.

So you installed an (APEX kit with a "tactical tool trigger" face ) . Thats a new trigger listing to me . How about a link to this apex product that shows the trigger or kit your bought ? Even the apex bare basic 50 dollar trigger for the old 1.0 models will reduce trigger pre travel or take up and over travel by 20% !!

Agency Arms Drop-In Flat Faced Trigger Kit S&W M&P 9mm, 40 S&W, 357 Sig Aluminum. This is the kit I had installed. Now there is no take up.

If the link below is the kit you bought it's a bit of a mix of parts and then what spring your used where may be your problem . Not sure why you did not use the APEX kit only but at this point any relpy here to fix your problem would be a guess at best but it might be the Agency trigger be different from Apex that caused the issues . NOTE the kit is not for duty or carry at least for some !! I run thumb safetys and all ours have some pre travel and a tiny bit of over travel but mine are all APEX no mix of parts . Typically just the striker block and spring will improve a gen 1.0 pistols trigger pull smooth edges of the connector where it makes contact with the block and sear and a 4" pull with stock movement is normal .
