I recently purchased (according to forum experts) a 50 year old Mod. 36. Aside from being neglected, I find no evidence it’s been fired more than 50-100 times. Extremely tight lockup on every chamber. I am noticing a small amount of trigger take up during double action, and about the same when cocking the hammer single action. I haven’t owned a S&W revolver in 25 years, and I can’t remember if this is normal. Any thoughts? Thanks.

If I'm understanding your question correctly the answer is yes, it's called, or used to be called "wink" by the factory.....and it's perfectly normal.
