Trigger kit from PSA any good?

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience with this trigger kit from PSA? It is on sale right now for $29.99 and it has excellent reviews. This would go in my Sport II.

Any opinions would be appreciated!

I have used a few of them with a JP spring kit, I'm pretty happy with them both, one in a PSA and one in an LMT lower

Are you planning on replacing the trigger that's in your M&P15?, if so you not going to see a significant improvement with the PSA. For only a bit more money you can get a Rise Armament RA-140 drop in that will give you a nice crisp 3.5 lb pull, the last ne I bought was under a 100 bucks.

Regarding that kit (enhanced mil-spec), I have one in a recently purchased lower and for a mil-spec, it's nice. I measured mine with a digital and it gave me an average of 5.2lbs. Not bad at all for a brand new, not cleaned / relubed, not "worked" a few hundred times, etc, trigger. And it's smooth. Too bad it isn't free shipping. I have the RA-140 on an AR and it measures closer to 4 than 3.5. It's an ok trigger for entry - level aftermarket triggers. It's smooth enough but I prefer much tighter pre-travel and reset. The PSA "Enhanced" is a noticeable improvement over any stock (mil-spec) trigger I have experienced with one exception. The hammer/trigger that came with my 15-22, for whatever reason, is by far the best mil-spec I have experienced and that's in the dozens. Just one of those deals I reckon. But it now has a Hiperfire 24C on it which is very nice.

I just like that the PSA trigger takes all the grit and creep out of an otherwise stock rifle and makes for a very decent rifle trigger for way south of 100

I have the PSA trigger kit in my PSA rifle. It has about the same trigger pull as my S&W M&P Sport I. I doubt any appreciable improvement would be experienced putting it in a Sport II.

If you are still considering a trigger like the PSA deal you might take a look at Right to Bear Arms and Supply, veteran owned company, and their, "Enhanced Nickel Teflon Trigger Assembly"...It's a nickle-teflon deal which sounds like Robar's NP3. I have one on the way. Same price range, great reviews.

That's what I like about the Hiperfire HyperTouch EDT I put in my Sport II. Grit less, no creep MIl-spec trigger, at 4+ or 5+ lb pull, for very little outlay.

I've had two of the EPT triggers the past few years and as the other poster mentioned, just install them with the JP Yellow or Red and Yellow spring kit and be amazed. Better than the ALG QMS, and on par or better than the ALG ACT from my own personal experience. Eventually, I replaced the EPT's and other non drop in triggers with CMC triggers as I could find them on sale but seriously, the EPT's with JP springs are as excellent a budget trigger solution as can be found IMHO.

I replaced my stock trigger on my Armalite AR-10 with the above Right to Bear Arms and Supply trigger with good results.

I have the PSA EPT with the JP Enterprise spring kit on (2) of my rifles. Huge improvement over original Sport II trigger, under $50 can't go wrong.
