Just a little reminder..
I had an Apex forward trigger in my “wife’s” Compact 2.0 Carry Comp. Just never really like it…. And I’ve had a few apex M&P kits before.

I picked up another Overwatch kit for it.
I meticulously disassembled, white glove cleaned up everything.
Reassembled.
The Overwatch kit comes with its own NP3 coated trigger bar installed on their shoe… so really, just a swap of parts.
Sear, sear spring, safety plunger (also NP3 coated) plunger spring, bar, trigger, and trigger return. I opted for the lighter sear spring, more on that later.

Put together.. wouldn’t safety check/fire. Pulled apart, checked everything, again…same thing. Wouldn’t even come apart until I used the sear deactivation lever..

Turns out.
Apex uses a different sear actuator arm than stock S&W.
This…is one of those times where I’m glad I not only keep all old parts, but I label them clearly.

Put the stock arm back in the sear block, all set. Couldn’t believe it was something that simple…and easy to forget.

Average of 5 pulls on the digital Lyman gauge I have, 3lbs, 10.2 oz. Which is exactly where I wanted to be.

The Overwatch kit already moves the trigger forward compared to stock, about the same as the Apex. Cleaner break, better AND audible reset…

Apex does a lot, they make a really great trigger kit for a lot of pistols. I just happen to like the Overwatch stuff better in all my recent S&W pistols.
Just an experience to share, nothing more. Off to the range soon as I replaced the factory plastic optic plate with a C&H metal one.

Happy Easter all…
