TROY Drop-In Rail on M&P10 - No Worky?

Hey all. First post for first accessory. . . TROY 9" Enhanced Drop-In Rail. p/n SRAI-DIDD9BT-00
In all my research of forums, manufacturers websites, etc., I couldn't find any positive results that would indicate that there would be an issue with installing this rail on an M&P-10. Conversely, I didn't find anything to the contrary. At any rate, I have received it and I'm having a heck-of-a-time getting it installed. Anyone else have knowledge of these Troy drop-ins and if they work with the M&P10?

I am not sure you can use that as it is my understanding the hand guard that came stock is proprietary in length so I'd ask someone else to chime in here to either confirm what I say or not. While it is close to a mid-length rail and gas tube, it's actually not the same length as a mid-length. Thank S&W for that!

I know the free floats work just fine....

That does not appear to be a drop-in rail. Drop-ins do not require gas block replacement.

BTW . . . that looks sweet. Is that the Vortex Viper PST scope? That's what I got also!

I know it's not a drop-in, it's their free float TRX 308 Battlerail. I initially jumped the gun when I responded and then edited it within seconds. Sorry for any confusion. My response above is my correct response. Whether it is right I will ask for advice from others but I'm fairly certain the drop in that comes stock is just off from a standard mid-length.

I got mine at Cabela's. Baker's Boots and Guns in Eugene can get them also. They had the Viper HST at one point also.

Actually, you can install a Magpul MOE midlength handguard on a M&P 10 so I don't think the length is proprietary.

I will concur. I have a replacement Magpul hand guard on mine as well. It snapped right in once there was an extra set of hands to pull back on the ring.
