Truly amazed myself. I passed on one.

I would've hurt my arm whipping out my wallet for that one!

I have its SS brother, the Model 63. It's just perfect for introducing female shooters to firearms. It would also be perfect sitting next to one while enjoying a good cigar and/or a good book on the porch, waging war against squirrels.

A year or two before Covid hit, I picked up a clean 34-1 4" with bo, tool kit papers and original receipt for $500 OTD. it had the all too often encountered tight chambers. I would have bought this one and made money on the 34-1! Or maybe kept both, but EDC the latest purchase.

Yes, they are good investments. I bought my 34-1 for about $125 (back in the day), and recently sold it for $475. It taught two children and two grandchildren as well as introducing shooting to many friends. Then a nearly 400% return on investment as well as years of pleasure, never pass one up.

I kinda like "em" too. Blue/nickel/stainless.......Got the short ones too....Most expensive was the 2 in 63. $700 back about 2012....Have shown before.
A 34 for $400.......I'd have brung it home.

Robert, I'm going to be the bad influence. ;-)

I bought a brand new Model 34-1 for my wife the first year we were married (we're celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in November, 2024).

Now for the bad influence. ;-)

The things done with the Model 34.
- My wife loves the little revolver and learned to shoot with it. She has taken it out many times just for the joy of shooting her little .22 revolver. (She doesn't like my Model 17-4 'K-22 Masterpiece.' "It's too big and heavy.")
- Used it to train many first time shooters, especially women and children.
- Carried it as a camp gun. It even bagged a blue grouse when hunting deer in Colorado.
- Just a fun little 'plinking' revolver.

Now some more bad influence...Eye Candy! ;-)

Robert, now that you know things that you can do with a little Model 34, don't you think you should reconsider your misguided behavior? ;-))

Thanks for reading and looking.

God bless,
John T.

Dang I hate this form. Now you've got me lusting after a blue 4"....

This is my only modern-era kit gun, a Model 34-1, shipped in 1981. It has all the bells and whistles, Nickel plated, RR, WO, smooth stocks. It's a deluxe gun for sure. I thought about selling it once, but then thought again...
