I've always wanted one of these since they hit the market a few years back, but I was unable to find one in very good condition.
I won this one off GB Saturday night and all I can say is, I'm really happy with it.
No wear marks inside or out.
This pistol had to have been carried by a desk jokey or kept on hand as a spare.
I'm hoping to put some rounds down range this weekend, weather permitting.
Trying to find some magazines now.

Looks great! I've always admired the design of the CHP pistols over those TSWs with the black plastic hanging on.

My hand just doesn't fit the double stack well enough to invest in one of these sweet pistols. ENJOY!

Can we see the other side, please?
I have that same gun and mine was a short, special run for the Fresno Sherriff's Dept. Apparently they made a few for other agencies, but I've not seen another one before yours.
You do know this gun in this configuration is somewhat rare being all stainless with the integral rail?
EDIT: Oop's, just saw it was the 40cal and not the 45cal, nevermind what I said, it only applies to the 45acp, but still a pretty gun though.

The quote function isn’t working for me now, but I wanted to reply to URIT. I have a CHP 4006TSW as well as a 5906TSW of unknown origin, and I can say that the mustache rail is definitely not plastic. I’ve always assumed it was aluminum, but it’s definitely metal of some kind.

Edit: spelling.

My CHP is a "memorial" to by best friend, Wayne Mulholland, who was a proud CHiP for 20+ years. He's gone now but a CHiP pistol is still on duty at my bedside. (Full disclosure: he retired before he had to carry the .40. His duty gun was a Colt Python and he had to use it in a deadly encounter. His daughter and son in law now possess it as it's too much gun for his wife.)

I thought 40 S&W was a chambering looking for a purpose. I found an unissued CHP TSW for around $300 and learned the fun of shooting 40 S&W and what a good pistol it is. I hope that you enjoy many years of happy, safe shooting with it.

Congrats on your find!

I found my CHP 4013TSW at a LGS some years ago now & he had two still available.

The one I got was in perfect shape except for a ding on the underside of the tang. Looked like it hadn't been shot.

It came with two red (range) magazines (like I see yours has) but I got him to swap them with the standard mags the other CHP 4013TSW had. :p

Looks like the same generic style brown box too.

PS: Just noticed, is yours missing the mag release detent button?

The detent button is there, it just seems to be sitting back in further than normal.
I never noticed this until you pointed it out.

Very cool. I didn’t realize they ever made any TSWs with an integral rail. I’m assuming they were all special order? Did they ever make any 59s like that?

Makes me wonder why they didn’t just offer them for general sale with an integral rail at some point.

That’s amazing they are still available, in perfect condition for a reasonable price. You did great. (I looked it up !!!!)

I got mine soon after they first started showing up and saw pictures/reviews/impressions here. It was near new and fairly inexpensive. Same cardboard box. I did replace the drawbar to a NOS one with a trigger play spring but didn’t need to.

Messing around I found that my pre-rail 4013TSW top end slipped right on and was very happy on the CHP lower. It balances, points and functions flawlessly.

Shooting 40 cal in the all stainless Smith was much more enjoyable then lightweight plastic guns like Glocks.

The weight works to the caliber's advantage, taming the recoil and making for faster followup shots. Of course if your a working cop and wearing it 10-12 hours a day that's another story.
