Absolutely fantastic. I would love to see more pictures.
I appear uninformed. Why a pair? I have seen numbers of matched pairs in older guns--cap and flint--used for dueling--but nothing like this.

I'm not really sure just found the set to be fascinating. Roy's letter on these two pistols are fascinating. Apparently these are a set of rare Olympic barrel optioned models with a total production of 2093 units. Why two? You got me but I do know they were shipped to England as a pair and with special extended target grips and the pistols, although not serial sequentially are numbered on the grips sequentially at the butt of the guns. I assume this was done by the factory in 1911 when the guns were sent to England as a set. I was amazed just looking at the boxed set and in turn figured it was a great add.

Third model produced 1909 to 1923 with total production 7641. After serial 9548 the model was available with a Olympic barrel. They were also supplied as a special request and found through out the production line and some were replacement barrels. The Olympic barrels was designed for the 1908 US Olympic Team. A total of 2093 units were produced.. So says Roy's letter...

This is just my observation but I would argue that your trip to Tulsa was very rewarding, disregarding that they are less likely to be found as pairs, a nice find non the less. The quantity of art and craftsmanship is evident in your photo. Congratulations!
