Of the guys I worked with who were murdered on-duty, Royce Bennett, Ricardo Gomez, David Coker, Manny Olivas, Sherman Toler, Glen Huber, Isaac Martinez, and Lloyd Aragon, only Sherman Toler's murderer had a prior felony conviction - Cloyd Norman Hall Jr. had priors for drug trafficking and assault on police officers but had been out of prison for over 3 years at the time he murdered Sherman.
